On 12th June an auction was held to raise money for Jimmer Courtney who is seriously ill in hospital.
Tracy Patterson and Scott Chapman organized an auction to raise money to help Jimmer get additional specialized treatment in his fight against GBS.
Tracy wrote some 30 letters to large companies and Premiership Clubs asking for any form of donation. The response was good but there were know major items sent. The members of Swindon RFC, from all over the world, then went into action.
A Swindon RFC shirt signed by David Campese was sent from Australia by Tonia Gemmell.
A Cardiff Blues rugby shirt signed by the current squad was donated by Craig Quinnell.
A rugby ball signed by the Wasps squad was donated by Simon and Stacey Cady
An England shirt signed by Mickey Skinner was donated by Phil Blatchford of Panacea.
Some of the more hairy guys in the club agreed to have their chests waxed.
