29/10/06 at Abingdon against Witney and Abingdon

Abingdon 40 Swindon 0
Witney 36 Swindon 0

Swindon Under 11's came up against two strong and well organised teams. Both matches were lost to tries scored from the wings, where Swindon did not defend or tackle effectively. Encouraging debut performances from Tommy Evans and Kyle Downey, and another Player of the Week award for Michael O'Sullivan were not enough to compensate for the lack of try scoring opportunities.

Player of the Week - Michael O'Sullivan

08/10/06 Away Against Minety

Minety 21 Swindon 10

A lacklustre first half performance cost the U11's dearly in a game that they were more than capable of winning. The first half finished with two converted tries from Minety without reply from Swindon. Following a stern half time team talk the Swindon side performed much better in the second half, winning the half 10 -7 for a final score of 21 - 10. Strong marauding runs from William Holman and Player of the Match Michael O'Sullivan punctuated the vast improvement in the second half.

01/10/06 Away Against Fairford

The Swindon U11 and U12 teams combined to play a similarly mixed Fairford team.

Three 20 minute periods were played.

In the first period, Swindon fielded their entire U11 team supplemented by two players from the U12's. This was a strong performance from a much improved U11 team. Liam Griffiths opened the seasons scoring for Swindon with an early try. Two further tries from the U12 guests and a solitary reply from Fairford (the only try to be converted) completed the opening period with Swindon winning 15 points to 7.

The second and third periods were played with greater numbers of Swindon's U12 squad, who proved too powerful for Fairford. The overall score being Fairford 7 Swindon 69. Other U11 try scorers were Rhys Dix and Keeleigh Chapman.

U11 Team Keeleigh Chapman, Michael Cullen, Rhys Dix, Liam Griffiths, Wiliam Holman, Callum MacKenzie, Michael O'Sullivan, Jacob Oldland, Joshua Telling, Tom Williams

Player of the Week - Rhys Dix

The Under 11's "result" for this fixture is listed as a15-7 win because that was the score at the end of the period when it was substantially an Under 11 team that was playing.
